Pedro Cuencas has been hosting private soccer sessions since 1999. After working with ex-professional coaches on Metro FC and Hawks Soccer Club, he quickly developed an interest in coaching. Early on, he realized the need for specialized soccer instruction and began working with players one-on-one to focus on their specific areas of improvement. Applying the knowledge from his previous select soccer coaches, and learning first-hand from working with children of all ages, Pedro has developed a reputation for helping players achieve their goals.
His philosophy is simple: "Some players struggle with certain technical aspects of the game. A team coach doesn't have time to take a player aside and work on the things they need extra help with. These things can be as simple as striking a ball, or as complex as beating an opponent with a move or fake. Whatever the case may be, repetition builds confidence, and with confidence, there's a better chance that they'll do it successfully during a game situation under pressure. My job is to provide an enviornment where a player can practice a specific skill as long as they need to build that confidence, and give them guidance and tips along the way."
Outside the pitch, Pedro is a passionate entreprenuer - he enjoys working as a freelance web/graphic designer helping individuals and businesses get on the web! Aside from soccer, he enjoys reading about nutrition, design, and self-improvement. His favorite pastime is chatting about new business ideas and start-up companies. Pedro's dream is to launch a soccer brand - a unique project he's been working on for 4 years.
